Lovely Merino Treat is just as delightful as it sounds. Our DK-weight yarn combines the softness of fine Merino wool with a pleasantly full-bodied texture – soft, warm, yet still lightweight. It's ideal for projects where you want a bit more substance without the bulk or heaviness. The extra-fine Merino wool gives it a silky feel and an elegant texture. Perfect for cozy sweaters, cardigans, shawls, children's garments, or accessories like hats and cowls – anything soft and cuddly that should still drape beautifully.
Our Production
For Lovely Merino Treat, we carefully select extra-fine Merino wool to achieve a balanced blend of softness and volume. It comes from Patagonia and is sourced from certified organic animal husbandry – entirely free from mulesing and harsh chemical treatments.
Noticeably Carefully Made
The yarn is spun just tightly enough to ensure easy handling and good stitch definition. Gentle dyeing in hanks preserves elasticity and enhances its softness. It is produced in a small Portuguese mill that meets our high standards through traditional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Certified Fair and Pure
Lovely Merino Treat is GOTS-certified and climate-neutral. From sheep to skein, we uphold fair practices, strict environmental standards, and full transparency – all independently verified. The chlorine-free finish makes this yarn machine-washable and gentle on the skin.
Garments made with Lovely Merino Treat can be machine-washed at 30 °C. We recommend using a wool detergent and selecting a gentle cycle. Afterwards, dry the item flat – ideally on a terry towel – to prevent deformation. Do not dry directly on a heat source or in direct sunlight! If needed, you may iron the item on the lowest setting.

Soft wool starts with the sheep.We use extra fine merino wool with 19.5 microns from Patagonia – a true treat for the senses and kind to animals.
Sourced from certified organic animal husbandry (kbT), it is guaranteed free from painful mulesing, chemical sheep dips, and long live transports to slaughter.

We spin the yarn just tightly enough to prevent it from splitting while knitting and to minimize pilling in the finished piece.
Dyed loosely in the hank, it becomes even softer and retains its beautiful elasticity – a true pleasure to knit with.
A small mill in Portugal produces the yarn according to our exact specifications – using traditional machines and plenty of skilled handwork.
