All you need for this beautiful garter stitch shawl by Veera Välimäki are some simple ingredients - your favourite colours and stripes. Its unusual shape makes it interesting to knit and to wear. The asymmetrical shawl is worked from top down using short rows.
You need 3 skeins of Cheeky Merino Joy. The shawl in the images is knitted with the main colour Isar Pebble (1 skein) and the contrasting colour Night Sky (2 skeins).
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, at least 32" (80 cm) long. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
