Tenang is knitted flat from the bottom up, starting with the hem worked in Garter Stitch Twisted Rib. You then gently transition to the body which is worked in a Column pattern, that continues the delicate twisted rib. The side edges incorporate garter ribs that receive an exquisite look with an I-cord edge. After the body is finished, you cast off the shoulder stitches at the beginning and end of the row and then knit the collar in Garter Stitch Twisted Rib in rows over the remaining stitches. The shoulder and the side of the collar are seamed after blocking with a mattress stitch.

Tenang is a design from our 2023 collection. In these turbulent times, there is much cause for reflection. And especially the desire for serenity and calm, for light-heartedness and peace. We have therefore named the designs in this collection after this longing, in different languages. The Indonesian word Tenang means quiet and peaceful.
