Our Colours

Particularly beautiful, sustainable, and harmonious to combine

This is what Rosy wanted the colours for our yarns to be.

The Vision

When Rosy started creating colours, it was essential to her that they were particularly expressive, timeless, and wearable. And above all, that they could be combined harmoniously for multi-coloured designs. In addition to the sustainability of the wool, she sought long-lasting colours for our yarns that would accompany knitters and crocheters for a long time, rather than fading with every new trend. Our colours are not simply taken from a standard palette - they are individually blended for us according to our special specifications and thus created with a lot of love to meet our aesthetic requirements. We are primarily inspired by nature: Stones, plants, water and fruit are the inspiration when developing our colours.

Pure

Dyed on a white base, the Pure palette offers distinct colours - rich and vibrant. The tones in this colour family are fresh and expressive. In addition to the lush and darker colours, Pure also contains a few more subtle and neutral shades for exciting and lively combinations.

Moods

The shades of the Moods palette are also dyed on a white base. Soft and delicate, hazy colours predominate here. Together with some stronger accent colours, there are numerous possibilities for impressive and harmonious combinations.

Melange

The melange palette is a little more complex to produce and is only available for our Cheeky Merino Joy. It is based on a slightly mottled yarn in which fine black fibres are spun together with the white fibres. The resulting delicate light-dark contrasts lend the colours an exceptional vibrancy and depth and are, therefore, particularly beautiful for monochrome designs.

Limited Editions

While the longevity and, therefore, the consistency and reliability of our standard colour palettes are particularly important to us, we are, of course, also keen to try something new. Thus, from time to time, we have new colours produced in small quantities: the Limited Editions. They are only available while stocks last. A Limited Edition usually comprises three colours that have fascinated and inspired us - for example, on a journey - and are particularly beautiful in combination with each other and, as possible, with the existing palettes.
