Just as light and shadow alternate, play with each other and create an exciting picture, Play of Light plays with an airy lace pattern and delicate, voluminous texture. The feminine crescent-shaped shawl by designer Keka Guillén gently envelops you, whether you drape it over your shoulders as a stole or wear it cosily around your neck. Its extraordinary beauty shows on both sides and is rounded off by the elegant picot edge. Surrender to the inspiring combination of contrasts and enjoy the light-and-dark contrasts of the Melange tone Rose Quartz of our Cheeky Merino Joy.
You start Play of Light with a garter tab cast-on and then continue knitting alternating sections in garter stitch and lace. The lace sections have an irregular shape obtained with short rows, and are both shown as knitting charts and described in detail. The shawl offers you a varied knitting experience between mindless knitting and lace sections that let you switch off from all other thoughts.
The finished shawl is approx. 215 cm (86 in) wide and 58 cm (23 in) from top to bottom after blocking.
You need 3 skeins of Cheeky Merino Joy (260 g). The indicated yarn quantities apply according to the gauge. The garment in the images is knitted with the colour Rose Quartz.

The theme of our 2024 collection is inspiration. What inspires us to be inventive, to create something? Which small or big moment plants an idea in us and sets us in motion? With the names of the designs in this collection, we have tried to capture a few of these sparks. Play of Light lets the light shine through here and there like flashes of inspiration given by chance.
