Feel yourself as you close your eyes and breathe in the beguiling fragrance of the flowers. Delicate petals gently tickle your nose, and feelings of happiness flood your body. With Scent of Flowers by Bérangère Cailliau, these emotions are always close. The asymmetrical, modern triangular shawl envelops you gently like the aromatic summer air. Easy to knit with our Lovely Merino Treat, it pampers you with pleasant volume and cosy warmth, while the slip stitch pattern adds another interesting layer to the garter stitch structure. The beautiful and extraordinary transition from the warm main colour Caramel to the delicate Powder gives the design a subtle sensitivity and lets you sink into sweet dreams.

Scent of Flowers is a two-tone shawl with a beautiful colour transition that is easy but fun to knit. You start with a monochrome section at one corner. The biased shape is created by increases and decreases: While you increase on both edges, the decreases are evenly distributed along one edge only. For the interesting texture, you combine the one- or two-coloured garter stitch with simple slip stitch patterns, for which you only use one colour per row.

The finished shawl is approx. 176 cm (69.25 in) wide and 60 cm (23.5 in) from top to bottom after blocking.

You will need 3 skeins of Lovely Merino Treat: 2 skeins (179 g) in colour A and 1 skein (95 gi) in colour B. The indicated yarn quantities apply according to the gauge.

The garment in the images is knitted with the colours Caramel (A) and Powder (B).

Needles: 4.5 mm (US 7) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
