Jana Huck's design is knitted in a catching knit-purl pattern, which changes over the length of the triangular shawl, adding the illusion of gleam to the diamonds, as she writes. She designed it for our cuddly Big Merino Hug, which has a particularly clear stitch pattern and a wonderful sheen. This is how the glittering diamonds - here in our shade Isar Pebble - are shown to their best advantage.
The triangular shawl is easy to knit, even for beginners, due to its knit-purl pattern. Beginning at the narrow point of the shawl, knit vertically upwards into the width. Thanks to our cuddly Big Merino Hug (Umarmung) quickly takes shape - it will inspire you to make great progress so quickly. And if you want, you can also customise the diamond pattern: Switch between the different versions according to your own taste.
You need 3 skeins of Big Merino Hug. The shawl in the images has been knitted with the colour Isar Pebble.
The finished shawl is approx. 53.5" (136 cm) wide and 31.75" (80.5 cm) from top to bottom after blocking.
Needles: US 9 (5.5 mm) circular needle, 40" (100 cm or longer) and two US 9 (5.5 mm) DPNs. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
