Pattern Cardigan Harbour Lights

Harbour Lights is like the bright glow of a lighthouse shining over the deep dark coastline at the edge of the ocean. The cardigan by Jenna Kostet radiates strength and confidence, while the cosy volume of our Lovely Merino Treat gives you the support you desire. Worn open, and with gently dropped shoulders, it combines understated casualness with the classic elegance of its clean silhouette. The eye-catching colourwork pattern subtly disrupts the modern colourblocking of the tones Wave and Tea, making Harbour Lights a statement piece that will see you off on new adventures with boldness and determination.  

You knit Harbour Lights seamlessly, starting with the wide hem. The body features two-tone colourworkworked in rows, creating a subtle transition in the contrasting colourblocking. The sleeves are knitted in the round directly onto the body, mirroring the geometric pattern of the body. Finally, the front edges and neckline are finished with a compact, double-knit frontband, giving the cardigan a polished and striking finish. 

Number of skeins of Lovely Merino Treat used:

The indicated gram quantities apply according to the gauge. The consumption for the swatch is included in the skein specifications. 

The pattern is designed with 12.5 – 20 cm (5 – 8 in) positive ease at bust circumference. 

The garment in the images is knitted with the colours Wave and Tea.

Needles:

• 3.5 mm (US 4) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle  
• 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round  
• 4 mm (US 6) 80 cm (32 in) circular needle  
• 4 mm (US 6) 100 cm (39 in) circular needle 
• 4 mm (US 6) double-pointed needles for double knitting (and optionally for working a small circumference in the round)

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
