Pattern Sweater Twilight Trail

Like a quiet path in the last evening light, mysterious and magical, Twilight Trail invites you to explore your innermost self. The wrap-style sweater gently envelops you with a tender embrace. For Twilight Trail, you knit the individual parts of the body flat, starting with the back panel worked bottom up, with a refined cross-stitch motif running vertically down the centre of the back. The two front panels are also worked bottom up, with I-Cord edges along the shaping lines, which are later continued around the back neckline. German short rows are used at the shoulders to achieve an improved fit, and the panels are joined to the back using Russian grafting. The side seams are finished with a mattress stitch. Placing the two front pieces on top of each other creates the exciting wrap look. For the sleeves, you pick up stitches around the arm openings and knit them in rounds directly onto the body, ending with extended 1x1 ribbed cuffs that echo the cross-stitch detail on the back panel.

The pattern is designed with 0 - 7 cm (0 - 2.75 in) positive ease at bust circumference.
