Dotyk by designer Teti Lutsak accompanies you on cold days with its cosy warmth. The hat with a classic shape and a relaxed fit at the crown receives a subtle elegance through the colour Edelweiss of our Big Merino Hug. The delicate and unusual cables together with accentuated chains of slipped stitches make for a fun and varied knit, giving the hat a wonderful texture. Incredibly versatile, Dotyk stays with you, no matter what the winter days bring.

The beanie hat is knitted from hem to crown in the round. You start with a long tail tubular cast-on edge that gives a lot of stretch to the hem worked in 1x1 rib stitch. Along the body of the hat, you knit the sophisticated cables and chains of slipped stitches. The decreases for the loosely fitted crown shape are incorporated in the stitch pattern.

The hat is available in three sizes: S [M, L] to fit head circumferences of 46-51 [51-56, 56-61] cm (18-20 [20-22, 22-24] in).

You need 1 skein of Big Merino Hug (71 g for Size S, 80 g for M and 89 g for L). The indicated gram quantities apply according to the gauge. The consumption for the swatch is included in the skein specifications. The knitted piece in the images is knitted with the colour Edelweiss.

Needles:

Knitting techniques used:

Dotyk was designed for our 2021 collection, to which Rosy gave the theme of touch. This year, we have all become particularly aware of the importance of interpersonal closeness and touch. More and more, however, it is also becoming clear that we belong together worldwide and that what happens on the other side of the globe also touches us. The names of our patterns express this in different languages. Dotyk means touch in Polish.
