The new pattern Shore Hap Joy by designer Martina Behm is her interpretation of a classic Scottish hap and a homage to her native Northern Germany. The colours are reminiscent of water, stony beaches with brown seaweed and weathered wood and the traditional clothing of the North Sea island residents. The shape is similar to a sailor collar, except that the hap is triangular instead of square. Thanks to this practical variation, it can be wrapped and tied in many different ways - even at home and at gardening, it always sits comfortably on the shoulders and keeps you warm.

You need two skeins of Cheeky Merino Joy. The hap in the images is knitted with one skein of the discontinued colours Coffee Bean and Laguna.

Needles: US 4 (3,5 mm) circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
