Verdon

Level of difficulty: easy

The generously cut cuddly shawl Verdon is knitted with short rows and has a rectangular cut. The designer Melanie Berg named it after the Gorge du Verdon, through which the Merino d'Arles sheep pass on their journey. The colours are evocative of the steep slopes and the enchanting play of light, water, and stone in the gorge.

You need 8 skeins of Merino d'Arles. The shawl in the images is knitted with the colours Mistral (2 skeins, 92 g), Montagne (2 skeins, 92 g), Houlette (2 skeins, 90 g) and Rivière (2 skeins, 90 g).

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) circular needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
